Nisekoi failed because it turned into a Harem. On one end, that's what most people like it for, but for me who read the one-shot, I already knew since the beginning who's gonna win and the 200+ chapters of zero to none development (especially on Chitoge side because the author just wanted to keep the Harem vibes go on) really bored me.

Onodera should have had an instant win if she just freaking confess but she held herself back just because the plot demanded it.
